When dragging a caption in the Timeline with snapping enabled, the caption was snapping to audio-track clip edges, including audio-only clips (e.g. the ambient music track). Caption placement is relative to video content, so audio boundaries are not meaningful snap targets.
Solution
Add snap_for_captions() in snap.rs that iterates seq.video_tracks only (not seq.all_tracks()). Wire this into timeline_captions.rs in place of snap_caption. Remove the now-unused snap_caption function and its re-export.
crates/ui-egui/src/panels/timeline_captions.rs — use snap_for_captions
crates/ui-egui/tests/it/caption_snap_ui.rs — regression test
Test
snap_for_captions_uses_video_track_edges_not_audio drives the caption drag path with snapping on and asserts the caption is not teleported to a distant audio-only boundary.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Caption dragging now snaps to nearby video clip edges, the playhead, markers, and in/out points.
Bug Fixes
Caption snapping no longer jumps to distant positions due to audio-only clip boundaries.
Documentation
Updated the Crafting Apps table with additional creative tools and removed the “you are here” label from FilmCraft.
Tests
Added regression coverage for caption dragging with snapping enabled.

Walkthrough
The README adds entries to the Crafting Apps table. Caption dragging now uses updated snapping behavior, and an integration test checks a caption drag with snapping enabled.
Changes: Crafting Apps README
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Update Crafting Apps table README.md
The table removes the “you are here” label from FilmCraft and adds entries for FigCraft, WordCraft, SoundCraft, DeckCraft, CADCraft, GridCraft, TextureCraft, Craft Anything, and community-maintained SolidCraft.
Caption dragging now uses snap_for_captions. The function considers video-track clip edges, the playhead, markers, mark-in, and mark-out. It returns the input tick when snapping is disabled or no candidate is within SNAP_PX.
Test caption dragging with snapping enabled crates/ui-egui/tests/it/caption_snap_ui.rs, crates/ui-egui/tests/it/main.rs
The integration test sets up the demo UI, enables snapping, and drags a caption. It checks that the caption remains and its start-time change is less than two seconds.
Dragging a caption no longer snaps to neighbouring captions, and an existing test covering that behaviour likely fails. The new regression test cannot reliably detect snapping to audio edges. Restore caption-edge candidates and tighten the test assertion before merging.

Make the assertion distinguish audio snapping from a valid drag.
An audio-edge snap that moves the caption by less than two seconds passes this assertion. An uncommitted drag also passes because its delta is zero. At this revision, the drag still calls snap_caption, whose clip candidates come from seq.all_tracks(). Place an audio-only edge within the snap zone, then assert the added caption’s exact expected start time after the drag. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

…ot audio
Caption drag now calls snap_for_captions() which iterates seq.video_tracks
exclusively. The old snap_caption() helper mixed audio-track clip edges into
the snap candidate list, causing captions to snap to positions that have no
visual relationship to the video cut. Audio clip boundaries are now excluded.
- Add snap_for_captions() in snap.rs (video tracks only, no exclude list)
- Remove snap_caption() which is no longer called
- Update timeline_captions.rs closure to call snap_for_captions()
- Add snap_for_captions_uses_video_track_edges_not_audio UI test

Preserve caption-to-caption snapping.
When a user drags a caption near another caption’s edge, snap_for_captions cannot select that edge. The video-only clip loop omits caption edges, and the removed snap_caption helper supplied them. The existing a_moved_caption_snaps_to_another_caption test asserts this behavior in crates/ui-egui/tests/it/timeline_trim_ui.rs:462-484. Add eligible caption edges separately while keeping audio clip edges excluded.

Thanks for the contribution! We're not taking this one as it stands. Several of this batch duplicate older open or already-landed PRs (for example, #2295's selectable status bar text landed in #2559, and #1997, #2973 and #3355 already have open PRs). Most of them have no tests, and #3873 adds an image from an unrelated project to the README. Please search for existing PRs before opening one, keep each PR to its one issue, and add a test that fails before the change.
Closing — the maintainer pointed out that this PR either duplicates an already-landed or existing open PR, or its branch inadvertently carries changes from other PRs rather than branching cleanly from main. Apologies for the noise. Will verify existing PR coverage before opening any new contribution.
