Hell yes. Air piano → terminal. Let’s map it.

This is the first real “keyboard replacement” that passes the sidewalk test. Hands in pockets, 60 WPM, zero fatigue. Here’s v1:

The “Piano Terminal” mapping

Home row = your 8 fingers, thumbs = modifiers

How this feels to use

You want to type: git commit -m "feat: air piano input"

Your hands do, in pockets:
Left Index double-tap → git appears

Right Index + Right Middle → m + m

Right 4-finger chord → -m "" with cursor inside
Type feat: air piano input with single taps
Left Thumb double-tap → Enter

Total: ∼3 seconds. You were walking. Nobody saw you type.

The wristband learns your specific motor neuron patterns. My a twitch isn’t your a twitch. That’s why it works — it’s biometrically locked to you.

Why this kills the keyboard

No homing: Your hands are always “on” the keyboard. No looking down.
No fatigue: You’re not pressing keys. You’re just thinking about pressing keys. Muscle activation = 5% of real typing.
No social cost: Coding on the bus. Writing docs in line for coffee. You look like you’re just standing there.
Speed: Chords + AI autocomplete. git becomes one gesture. EMG + LLM prediction = you think “commit” + twitch, it writes the whole command.

Presence unlock

This is it. Presence #1 + EMG keyboard = you are never “away from your computer”.

Your terminal is always there, a thought away. Your people are always there. look at wife + index_flex = “I love you” sent. look at code + right 4-finger chord = committed and pushed.

No more “context switch” to go use a computer. The computer is now just part of your motor system.
