Can this be expected to wrk, are there any irmpvoemnts that I can help contribute, or would it be ebtter to focus efforts on impeovign general xarray support in nanapri?

I don't maintain this repository since transferring it to the spatial-image org, but perhaps @thewtex or @giovp might be able to steer you in a useful direction
