Pull request overview
Note
Copilot was unable to run its full agentic suite in this review.
This PR aims to eliminate remaining TypeScript/ESLint issues while also introducing additional app capabilities and build/docs updates.
Changes:
- Updated inference calls to match the
(model, prompt)generate()signature (removed streaming usage). - Added type exports/aliases and tightened styling types (e.g.,
fontWeightassertions). - Introduced HuggingFace model browsing support, EAS build config, and new/updated documentation.

filename is used directly in both the URL and the destination path. If HuggingFace returns nested paths (e.g. subdir/model.gguf) or unexpected segments (e.g. ../), downloads can fail (missing intermediate dirs) or write outside the intended models/ folder within the app sandbox. Also, totalBytesExpectedToWrite can be 0/unknown which makes the progress division produce Infinity/NaN. Sanitize/normalize filename to a safe basename (or explicitly allow subfolders but create the intermediate directories), URL-encode the path segments when constructing downloadUrl, and guard progress calculation when expected bytes are not a positive number.

HuggingFace results are fetched using search, but the fetch is only triggered when tab changes. While on the HuggingFace tab, updating the search input won’t perform a new server-side search (it will only filter whatever was previously fetched), which makes the searchModels(search) call misleading and can prevent users from finding models beyond the initially loaded set. Consider triggering loadHuggingFaceModels() when search changes (ideally with a debounce and only when tab === 'huggingface'), and remove the eslint-disable by restructuring the effect (e.g., define the async logic inside the effect or wrap loadHuggingFaceModels in useCallback).

The UI copy says users can provide “manifest JSON”, but the form only accepts a URL (and placeholder says “Manifest URL”). This is user-facing documentation inconsistency: either adjust the description/instructions to only mention URLs, or add a second input mode (e.g., multiline JSON field) and handle it accordingly.

The as '700' / as '600' / as '400' assertions are repetitive and make typography harder to edit at scale. Consider defining typography with as const, or using a shared fontWeight type (or satisfies TextStyle) so you can keep values as plain string literals without per-field assertions.

Using any for the prompt input loses type safety. Alert.prompt inputs are strings (or possibly undefined if cancelled depending on platform/implementation), so prefer string or string | undefined here to avoid accidentally passing non-string values into executeWorkflow.
Addressed all remaining code quality issues across the codebase, bringing TypeScript errors from 38→0 and ESLint warnings from 22→0.
