setup.py sits at the root, outside every other source folder. Listing the root last covers it while the package under src/ keeps its import name, psiz, rather than src.psiz. setup.pysits at the repository root, outside the four source folders (src,examples,tests,docs/src). This adds the root as a fifth source folder, listed LAST, sosetup.pyis covered.The order matters: a file is named against the first source folder that contains it. With the root first, every module under
src/would be namedsrc.psiz.*rather thanpsiz.*, which is not how the package imports itself. Listed last,src/psiz/*keeps itspsiz.*name.That order dependence is a tool bug, tracked as ponder-lab/Hybridize-Functions-Refactoring#994, with the engine-side fix in wala/ML#984 (name a script against the most specific source folder containing it). Once that lands, the root's position in this list no longer matters.
