If we want to submodule the contents of this repository as a source for spec markdown documents over at ngff, we should flatten the contents of this repo. I.e., all the contents of the ngff_spec folder should be available at root level. That way, we could provide the contents of the spec as part of the ngff doc pages under URLs like this ngff.openmicroscopy.org/specifications/0.5/index.html, which would be a neat way of navigating.
I have a working plan but this
