Currently we only deploy release candidates to the test server of PyPI. Ideally se should have the ability to deploy RC's to the main PyPI as well. I am not sure still what the best workflow is for us in terms of keeping rc/backport branches. Perhaps we follow the julia idea of having a branch for each release.
