I run a homelab called quasarlab (yes, the handle is Mithrandir, fitting). Everything in code, one source of truth per system, observability designed before the workload ships, and post-incident writeups that are honest about what broke. The alerts are LOTR and Star Wars themed, because a recognisable shape is easier to triage at 2am.

Contributions to scientific Python tooling for survey and time-domain astronomy:

• astronomy-commons/lsdb: scalable analysis framework for crossmatching large astronomical datasets.
• lightkurve/lightkurve: time-series analysis for Kepler, K2, and TESS missions.
• yt-project/yt: analysis and visualisation for volumetric astrophysical data.

• The rhythm of public OSS work, especially across the astronomy stack above. Much newer to proposing changes, surviving review, and release cycles than I am to running production infra. Patient maintainers very welcome.
• Godot 4 + GDScript, building Quasaria, a solo 2D space RPG. Pre-dev, milestone 1 deliberately tiny, lore and design bible already locked in. Turns out years of incident postmortems make for decent worldbuilding practice.
