No Connection Events after upgrade

Upgraded from 2023 to 2026 R1 but now my powershell reports return 0 connection events. Previously I would have at least a handful of disconnects every day across my deployment. I have a hard time believing that I dropped to 0 disconnects over the past 30 days just by upgrading the software. Get-VmsLog -StartDate (Get-Date).addDays(-30) -EndTime (Get-Date) consistently returns 0 disconnects over a large deployment of cameras. Any insight? I'm running the latest MilestonePSTools. Is there a new process for collecting camera disconnect info?

@swkentwork-glitch, 2026 R1 moved away from using the XProtect Log Server to using Victoria Logs. To my knowledge, there isn't a plan to update the Milestone APIs to direct to the Victoria Logs because they have their own APIs.

For some background, with 2026 R1, we moved to OLTP support for logging which allows customers to use their own existing OLTP logging solution. So that customers don't have to install their own OLTP solution (if they don't already have one), we include the free version of Victoria Logs.

I believe the plan for MilestonePSTools is to also not add support for querying VictoriaLogs since it is separate from Milestone, but @joshooaj would be able to comment more on that.

Sounds right @Tarterman, while Victoria Logs is the default log viewer, you now have the freedom of using whatever OTLP-compatible system you want, and they all have their own APIs (including Victoria).

I would recommend looking at the REST API for Victoria Logs (or whatever system is in use) and use Invoke-RestMethod against it unless there's a PowerShell module available for their API.
