   Supported via android.extra_manifest_application_arguments. , refs #1275
   Create application-attributes.xml containing only:

   android:usesCleartextTraffic="true"
   

   Then add this under [app] in buildozer.spec:

   android.extra_manifest_application_arguments = ./application-attributes.xml
   

   The file contains attributes, not a complete <application> element. Support was added in #1275, with argument quoting corrected in #1555. Closing as implemented.
