Update the public source from the maintained development tree.

Validation: public metadata and full-history secret scans passed, along with the component checks in an isolated public checkout. This PR requires the repository's normal review and checks before merging.

Align the remaining public CI, canary, CodeQL, Windows runtime admission,
and acceptance suite boundaries:

- Avoid raw strings ending in an escaped quote in runtime.rs so the
home-reader test guard parses every test in the file.
- Build the sibling kin-daemon binary in integration test Command::new
wrappers so featureless-cli nextest shards do not race a missing daemon.
- Populate fixture kin-home/bin in the Windows admission contract proof
and sync the generated release rehearsal workflows and preflight stamp.
- Retry temporary directory removal on Windows in kin-mcp index tests and
update the Windows CI setup_editor_guidance test filter.
- Build and install the capability contract canary in release profile under
HOME/.kin/bin so managed runtime admission succeeds.
- Replace regex tag stripping and unescaped selector RegExp construction in
  workspace-ui.test.cjs.
- Hold background agent authorship and sighting settlement while any agent
session is active or within the quiet window so mid-walk snapshot
generations and locate rankings are not invalidated.
- Restore clause-coded trust_reason compaction in trace_pages.py and accept
  language-server-enriched reference sites in working_copy_freshness_repro.py.

…tes with One Kin (#451)

* fix(windows): align native Windows release rehearsal and authority gates with One Kin

Reap fixture daemons and binary copies on exit after the Windows admission contract proof so post-install health checks see a single managed installation. Create the test Kin home directory in install_test_registry before service runtime namespace capture. Allow the Windows update worker directory to be created inside an existing install root without requiring SE_DACL_PROTECTED on the parent root while still enforcing a private current-user DACL on the worker directory. Run the Windows npm first-run proof harness under explicit development runtime mode.

* fix(windows): sync release rehearsal mirror, vendored manifest, and io-lint

Removed from the merge queue by a failing merge_group check.

This PR was admitted to the queue, built as a speculative merge, and dropped. Its own PR-level checks and mergeable state are unaffected and still read clean, so nothing else on this page shows that it happened.

Fix the cause, then have the captain re-submit. If the failure is in the squash commit message rather than the code, remember the queue mints that message from this PR's title and body, so anything placed there is authored straight into public history after every local Git hook has already run. What the hygiene gate refuses there is an assistant-session trace: a Claude-Session-style trailer, a session URL or id, or an assistant co-author or generation line. Internal tracker references are allowed in the title and body and are expected; they are provenance a reader can act on, not a leak.

Superseded by incoming export normalizing Windows verbatim paths in Start-Process and test-windows-worker-cleanup.ps1.
