After configuring the notifications to add a sound "Oxygen-Sys-App-Message.ogg" to "Bell in Focused Session", my Konsole sometimes freezes if I hold backspace in a new terminal window.
The backspace on an empty line will produce a bell sound, and continuous backspacing will queue more bell sounds to play. Unfortunately only one bell sound is played at a time, and the application seems to be unresponsive while it is playing this bell noise. When the sound ends, the next sound in queue is played, which is another bell, and keeps the terminal unresponsive. This can cause it to suddenly freeze for 15 seconds if you hold backspace a little too long.
New Konsole sessions seem unaffected by the old session freezing / being stuck making bell sounds.
My setup is as follows:
Linux Mint with KDE Plasma
Using Pulsemeeter which is my default audio device
Wireplumber cpu utilization spikes to 100% while bell plays and goes back to ~0% when done. Might be related to linuxmint/cinnamon#13234
