1 day code sample demonstrating basic Rails patterns, Bootstrap, Rake tasks, D3.js visualizations, AJAX, and use of the Best Buy Product API.

If you have your own Best Buy API key you can place it in the make_seed.rake task. (Production version would store key in a config or the database of course)
Uses a local SQLite3 database for ease of setup.
To start just run through

bundle install

If you have a Best Buy API key:

rake make_seed
-
otherwise the included seeds.rb will suffice.

db:setup

rails s
Note that images are still being served from Best Buy for size and portability. Please be respectful and do not abuse their media servers with too many phone detail views.
Future updates may include table sorting, less contrived metrics, and additional chart types.
