The prior scrub only cleaned gatb-core's build_info.hpp; bin/bcalm still referenced the Homebrew shim directory because the bundled HDF5 embeds CMAKE_C_COMPILER/CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER into libhdf5 (via libhdf5.settings -> H5lib_settings.c) which links into the binary. Patch both source templates before configure so no compiler path is baked in. Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
