Debian Install Pre-requisites Don't Exist? #1

Description

@bepstein111

Hi there-
I'm attempting to get an asterisk server setup to interface with my home phone line, and while trying to compile dahdi, I'm running into multiple issues, one might be caused by another. First of all, your example command is actually two commands glommed together:
apt-get -y install gcc g++ automake autoconf libtool make libncurses5-dev flex bison patch libtool autoconf linux-headers-$(uname -r) sqlite3 libsqlite3-dev **_\\_** apt-get -y install gcc libncurses-devel kernel-devel kernel-smp-devel gcc-c++ libnewt-dev zlib-devel unixODBC-devel libtool make

Simple enough fix.

Second, while trying to install the pre-requisites, the following packages don't exist in the standard bullseye repos from a fresh install:

  • libncurses-devel
  • kernel-devel
  • kernel-smp-devel
  • gcc-c++
  • zlib-devel
  • unixODBC-devel

Debian dev packages are typically titled with the "-dev" convention, so I tried that instead of -devel, and that got libncurses-dev to install, but none of the others existed. Not sure where to go from here because,

Third, when running tools/bootstrap.sh, I am informed that:

aclocal: error: 'configure.ac' is required
autoconf: error: no input file
autoheader: error: 'configure.ac' is required

Which doesn't even sound (to me at least) like a pre-requisite problem, just a missing file? Am thinking correctly?

Thanks,
