Instead of having three separate signal wires controlling the different parts of the motorized floodlights, it would be cool to have a single signal bus connection. Ideally, the player could pick which signal channels (colors) to use from within the floodlight GUI. This interface would replace the "locked" sliders (which really don't need to be there). The signal bus would be able to connect to any of the three remaining sides of the floodlight base that are not used for power, and signals would be able to "pass through" the floodlight (the floodlight would act like a signal hub).
This is something that might be best to save for after the cable update, or at least after the lamp socket refactoring.
