Update Azure offerings for WAS 9.0.5.29

WebSphere Application Server traditional Fix Pack 9.0.5.29 eGAed on Sept 8, 2026.

Need to create and publish new images and offers.

Lots of problems with this update.

Early attempts to build failed because api-versions were too old so I had to track down the specific versions that needed to be updated. It was an iterative process...when one api-version was fixed it allowed subsequent ones to surface. Eventually, we got past the build step.

The git actions are using wasaas@us.ibm.com to get access to Passport Advantage to get WAS installation code. wasaas@us.ibm.com was deleted when WAS for VSI was deprecated.

I tried using wascloud@us.ibm.com but it isn't entitled. I asked Eric Covener if he knew how I can get a FID entitled and he pointed me to this link. I submitted a form and pinged Jamie Willie. It initially appeared to work and I was able to produce ND and IHS images. However, when I tried to build the single server image the wascloud FID was no longer able to access PA. We believe it's because it is a federated id. I have opened a ticket to unfederate the id and I am waiting for the ticket to be worked.

In the meantime, I attempted to publish the ND and IHS images so I can publish the Cluster offer. When I logged into Partner Center I was not able to get to the Marketplace offers. When I selected the Marketplace offers tile on the Home page it didn't take me to the offers but just refreshed and I was back at the home page. I opened a ticket with MS but they were not able to help and directed me to our admin, Rick Maurno. I reached out to him and he verified I still had access. We had a Teams meeting and after trying several things like using a different browser and then a private browser, he migrated my id to ????? (I can't remember what he called it).
My id changed to ortegake@ibmalliance.onmicrosoft.com. I now login with that id instead of ortegake@us.ibm.com. Rick made other changes unknown to me and it finally started working. I am now able to access Marketplace offers in Partner Center.

I submitted the new images to be published but both the ND and IHS images were rejected because they failed certification. The VMs contain several CVEs in the base RHEL OS.

The RHEL image pulled in is defined by properties:

image.publisher=RedHat
image.offer=RHEL
image.sku=9_5
image.version=latest

The current latest version contains the CVEs.

We have a couple options. We can try to move to 9_6 or pin the image.version to something that doesn't have CVEs.

I will have to do further investigation to determine which of those will pass certification (contains no CVEs) and pin image.version to that version.

In either case, we would have to rebuild the images and that has to wait until we get wascloud unfederated.
