More details, links from elsewhere, description of using the *EMITTER construction variables. Content was preliminarily reviewed previously via a HackMD page.

Doc-only change, no code or tests.

I tend to think we over-use that convention, people know that it could be one-or-more because we say it often enough throughout. I can of course add those three letters if you want to insist.
