The
ENABLE_ZSH_COMPLETIONconditional is true for any value other thanno, so passing a path to--with-zsh-completion-dirstill installs to the default$datadir/zsh/site-functions. This makes it impossible to target directories such as Debian/Ubuntu's/usr/share/zsh/vendor-completions.This picks the default only when the value is
yesand otherwise uses the given path.Tested with
./configureandmake install DESTDIR=…:ZSH_COMPLETION_DIR${datarootdir}/zsh/site-functions--with-zsh-completion-dir=/usr/share/zsh/vendor-completions/usr/share/zsh/vendor-completions--without-zsh-completion-dir🤖 Generated with Claude Code
