WiFi problems with wpa_supplicant, solved by switching to iwd

For a Fedora 43 build wpa_supplicant didn't start because it couldn't claim the dbus service name.
I've switched to iwd as a workaround:

/etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf:

[device]
wifi.backend=iwd

Is something to consider in general?

Last I read iwd is unmaintained now? Not sure what the recommended one is to use now
