Become a sponsor to Andrew Chen Wang
Hey, I'm Andrew. I'm temporarily setting up a GitHub Sponsor for my latest side project SproutOS. It's a mix of Lovable, n8n, and Vercel for as cheap as possible -- building for privacy-minded looking to personalize their daily consumer apps.
SproutOS allows users to create and host personalized websites and workflows for as cheap as possible. Imagine working on Notion or Obsidian, but you want to implement a grammar check solution. However, as a privacy focused user, I'm scared of sending my personal notes to some random Obsidian plugin's server. Additionally, I'd like to customize some open source applications.
Instead, I'd rather host this open source plugin myself, but AWS costs too much per month: $12 for a database, $12 for a web server, and $12 for a host. Setting up cheaper methods such as Vercel for web and Supabase/Neon takes time, and they limit you on the number of free projects. Asynchronous background jobs require a 24/7 server for on-demand tasks, and the closest cheap solution is Vercel Cron, but it only works on a scheduled time.
Finally, hosting open source solutions is great, but there's no way to personalize them because it would require us to keep up to date the forked, customized app with the upstream changes.
SproutOS is an all-in-one managed solution that uses AI to code personalized forks of open source app, keep them up to date with the upstream code, create custom websites and automations/workflows that connect with your other apps, and help deploy any app as cheap as possible on SproutOS.
We also help users, particularly business employees, create small scripts and automations within an IT sanctioned environment for as cheap as possible without technical assistance/engineering resources.

SelectIf you've got an idea, I'd be happy to give 1-3 sessions every month to discuss how to develop your ideas, business wise and code wise. I like to think about ideas and how human nature and psychology fits into the puzzle (and if your business does any good for society; if not, that's ok!).
This is more of a treat for me, to be honest. But it's also helpful for you to get some recommendations -- at a price I suppose.
