Hi,
I have a T-8 and S-1 connecting through TRS MIDI. The T-8 has the master clock, and it's MIDI out is connected to the S-1 MIDI in. The S-1 MIDI out is connected to the Amyboard TRS MIDI in. Each box T-8 and S-1 is using their onboard sequencers to play notes. The T-8 is sequencing channels 10 and 2. The S-1 is sequencing MIDI channel 3. The Amyboard is configured only for channel 3 so it is duplicating the sequence the S-1 is playing (I have disabled Channel 1 and Channel 10 on the Amyboard). The USB of the Amyboard is connected to my laptop, and the Web UI Editor is open.
There is a noticeable swing to the Amyboard. This is very syncopated rhythm so it's easier to hear when something isn't landing on the beat. I think the Amyboard might be on beat more if the T-8 isn't playing it's sequencer so I switched from MIDI sync between the T-8 and S-1 to an analog sync. It's still sending MIDI between the S-1 and Amyboard, and it seems locked in.
I'll have to record it if I can, but something is going on that is causing the latency when the T-8 is sending MIDI in the chain. Any ideas what might be happening? Let me know what I need to gather to help troubleshoot this. Sorry I don't have any more hard details for you.
