Hey,
I am experiencing a force feedback issue with Xidi in Mafia (2002) using an Xbox One Wireless Controller.
Force Feedback works correctly while the player is on foot (e.g., when shooting or getting hit). However, when entering and driving a car with the controller, the Force Feedback becomes bugged. While driving, some Force Feedback effects are present, but they are inconsistent.
And after exiting the vehicle, the same inconsistent and buggy Force Feedback persists even while on foot, even though the on-foot Force Feedback worked correctly before driving the car. Reloading the level restores the on-foot Force Feedback to normal. So its very likely that the car force feedback is triggering this issue.
Note that Mafia has "primary" and "secondary" input options in the controls menu.

I noticed that the force feedback in Mafia (on-foot or driving) only works when the "Left" and "Right" steering is mapped to secondary, and it has to be analog input. Apparently Mafia treats the primary and secondary inputs differently (secondary is ment for analog inputs).
So when for example mapping Left and Right car steering to primary, there is no driving force feedback, as a result, the on-foot Force Feedback remains intact and continues to work normally. This suggests that the driving Force Feedback is what triggers the bug.
I uploaded the Log too.
Edit: I placed the xidi.dll + dinput.dll + winmm.dll into the folder.
Xidi_Game.exe_10356.log
Regards!
