Reduce load on document outline

I feel like more often than not, the document outline section is in a constant refresh state. Everytime I click on the a qmd script, it is trying to load the document outline again. This makes it almost unusable. I can never navigate my document without triggering a new refresh.

I noticed that it tries to also document all of the objects under every chunk. Is there an option/setting in which it ONLY shows the section headers and chunk labels only? I think this was the previous document outline worked. I'd imagine it's very resource intensive to display all of the objects under every chunk.

Or the outline only refreshes when something has changed?

I simply want to minimize the length of time in which the document outline is loading and trying to find any new updates to the document.
