This is a description of the pinned ORCA nodes provisioned on Wolf.
- Two nodes:
h0.orca.tablefs and h1.orca.tablefs -- we will only use h0 for now.
- A user by the name
orca and password orca with $HOME in /l0/orcahome has been created, with sudo access.
- Note that
/l0 is not an NFS mount so you will lose all data there if nodes ever go down.
We can follow these conventions to smoothly share these nodes:
- If you run a tmux session within that user, name it (
ankush-0/ankush-1)
- Try to not customize that home dir too much (fancy plugins/editors etc)
- Try to not clutter the home dir too much (create a subdir for some task and do everything within that subdir)
