EBSD map appears as separated squares instead of a continuous map in MTEX 6.1.1

Hi everyone,

I am working with an EBSD dataset in MTEX 6.1.1 - MatlabR2026a. When I plot an EBSD map, the map appears as separated small squares with gaps between them, rather than as a continuous EBSD map.

I would like to understand what causes this behaviour and how I can correct it?

Sometimes this can happen if there is a difference between the EBSD map step size defined in ebsd.unitCell and the EBSD map grid spacing in ebsd.pos.

Can you try and see if running ebsd.updateUnitCell before plotting fixes it? https://mtex-toolbox.github.io/EBSD.updateUnitCell.html
