I have an .ang file containing FCC Fe and body-centered cubic (BCC) regions. I want to remove all other phases and then reconstruct the parent BCC phases, considering FCC Fe as the child phase. However, the parent phase is being reconstructed in the non-indexed zones. I wasn’t able to attach the .ang file, so I have attached the dataset in .docx format instead.
I’m interested in reconstructing the parent BCC phase using the orientation relationship (OR):
BCC {011} || FCC {111}
BCC <1 -3 3> || FCC <2 1 -3>
with a tolerance angle of 5°.
I have also attached the code I am currently using in .docx format. Please let me know what you think and whether there are any issues with my approach.
Thanks!
