I've been trying to figure this one out for a while, but haven't gotten very far. On our website, a couple of our links have a unicode arrow as they are external links, and we wanted to remain consistent with other parts of the website where they are used. It renders as a text arrow on Firefox and Firefox forks, as expected, but it renders as an emoji symbol on Chromium browsers, at least on Linux. I can't figure out if this is something we're doing wrong, if it's a weird fontconfig package issue, or what. Hoping someone might have some ideas.
