The portion that violates the spec is "attestationRootCertificates" which is not an empty array. The spec states:
When supporting surrogate basic attestation only (see [UAFProtocol], section "Surrogate Basic Attestation"), no attestation trust anchor is required/used. So this array MUST be empty in that case.
As can be seen by "attestationTypes", only "basic_surrogate" attestation is supported. The updated metadata does not suffer from this error.
A consequence of this is that parsers that strictly adhere to the spec err due to this entry. Would it be possible to submit the newest metadata to FIDO to rectify this?
