How does feed personalization work on daily.dev?

[nimrodkra]

When you sign up, you pick the tags you care about (for example #javascript, #devops, #ai) and can follow or block specific sources. From there, the feed keeps adjusting based on what you read, upvote, bookmark, and hide.

A few things people often miss:

• You stay in control. You can follow or block tags and sources at any time from your feed settings, and adjust how the feed is sorted.
• "My feed" vs "Popular". Your personalized feed and the network-wide trending feed are separate views, so you can always see both.
• Custom Feeds let you build separate feeds per topic or project: https://docs.daily.dev/custom-feeds/
• Keyword Filters mute hyped topics you are tired of seeing: https://docs.daily.dev/keyword-filters/
• Give it a few days. The feed gets noticeably better after your first week of reading, once it learns what you actually open and finish.
