Our school timetabling quickstart is already pretty good. It mainly depends on the input file format you want to give it. |

Thank you for sharing the quickstart. I'm currently building a more advanced school timetabling engine and evaluating whether to extend the Timefold approach or combine it with custom flow-based scheduling and repair heuristics. The main challenge is handling high-density academic constraints while keeping generation fast and scalable for SaaS usage. I'll study the quickstart structure and experiment with adapting the input pipeline and constraint model. Appreciate the pointer. |

Hi @30x30x — is the original timetabling MVP still available? I reviewed the current school-timetabling quickstart: teacher/room conflicts are already covered. I propose a fixed $200 for a scoped Java MVP with CSV input/output, your agreed group-size and age rules, teacher time preferences, tests and run instructions. Acceptance would use a small feasible dataset we agree on; this would cover the original MVP, rather than the later production SaaS engine. Could you confirm whether you still need this, can assign it to @Jalst before development, and can pay $200 USD via PayPal to France within seven days of acceptance? Implementation would be carried out with an AI coding agent, with tests provided; please confirm that workflow is acceptable. If so, please clarify whether student groups are already formed or whether forming groups is part of the solver. That distinction determines the final scope. No full implementation would begin until we agree on it. |
