Visual Sync: subtitles are no longer displayed over the video

Hi Nikse,

I would like to report what appears to be a regression in the Visual Sync window.

In recent Subtitle Edit beta versions, the subtitle text is no longer displayed as an overlay on the video in the “Start scene” and “End scene” preview panels. The selected subtitle text is still visible in the boxes below the videos, but it does not appear directly on the video frames, which makes accurate visual synchronization much more difficult.

The problem was already present in version 5.2.0 beta14, and it is still present after updating today to Subtitle Edit 5.2.0 beta16.

My setup:

• Windows 11 Pro
• Subtitle Edit portable version
• Video player: libmpv 2.5 OpenGL
• Video resolution: 1920 × 1080
• Video frame rate: 23.976 fps

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a video and its corresponding SRT file.
2. Go to Synchronization > Visual Sync.
3. Select or play a subtitle in either preview panel.
4. The subtitle text is shown in the text box below the video, but no subtitle overlay is rendered on the video itself.

I have attached a screenshot showing the problem.

Could you please check whether this is a bug or whether a new setting is required to enable subtitle display in Visual Sync?
