Will be nice to have the contractors like a tecnicians. Sometimes some contractors have one manager that retrieves all the work that is done in a daily basis. So send directly work orders to him, and be him the one that reads and complete that will be great.

(The alternative is to have it in the workers, but i think is better to keep that to internal workers)

Can confirm;
Woud be nice if some of my fixed contractors like the HVACcompany-teamleader or the helpdesk of my commercial kitchen and catering equipment service provider; could get the workorder immediately by mail, in the same manner an internal "limited technician" can get this mail.

Reviving this issue with some more context, as I think it deserves a closer look.
I'm an active user running Atlas CMMS for a hospitality venue. A significant part of our maintenance work goes to fixed external contractors (HVAC company, commercial kitchen equipment servicer, etc.). Right now the contractor field on a work order is essentially decorative — it records who does the work but doesn't communicate anything to them.
As a first step I submitted PR #206 adding contractors to the work order list view column toggle, but the deeper gap is the notification flow.
Proposed behavior:
A manual "Notify contractor" button on the work order detail view. Deliberately NOT automatic — this should be a conscious action by the admin, not triggered silently on assignment. The contractor would receive an email containing the work order details (title, description, location, due date, priority).
Why not just add contractors as limited technician users?
The current user model makes sense — contractors shouldn't have system access. But they do need to know a job exists and what it involves. Right now that happens entirely outside Atlas, which defeats the purpose of having a CMMS.
Happy to test this if someone picks it up.
